Xin Nian Kuai Le, Gong Hei Fat Choy

Reading Time: < 1 minute In only few hours, we can say good-bye to the Year of the Tiger 🐅 and welcome the Year of the Rabbit 🐇 . The Year of the Rabbit stands for longevity, peace and prosperity (no rabbit holes included, I was told 😉 ). Per definition, this would require us to be perhaps a bit more mindful, kind and resourceful. Independently of lunar “interventions” and against the backdrop of human, ecological, and economic challenges that we are currently facing, we can’t go wrong in prioritising these three behaviours: towards each-other, but also towards ourselves. But let me put this aside now, and focus on the here and now: Xin Nian Kuai Le, Gong Hei Fat Choy to all our clients, partners and friends starting the celebrations this weekend. May all your wishes come true including good fortune and happiness.

Finally we can say good bye to the laborious year of the Metal Ox and welcome the year of the Water Tiger, a symbol of strength, exorcising evils (pandemics?), and braveness. Happy Lunar Year to our clients, partners and colleagues. May the year of the Tiger bring you and your family a year of prosperity and good fortune!

Why Climate Change does not scare us yet?

Strategy under complexity – #1 – COVID

Reading Time: 2 minutes A pandemic like COVID has quickly demonstrated the limitations of classical approaches to strategy formulation. This is what we observe in many organisations that we accompany. Strategists in these organizations are used to work in classical environments that they consider somewhat stable and predictable. Hence the tools, methods and frameworks they use to analyse and suggest strategic responses are designed to support decision-making in this type of environments. But strategy under complexity needs different approaches.

Happy Chinese New Year of the Ox

Reading Time: < 1 minute The year of the rat is coming to an end and we’re happy to welcome the year of the Ox in our lives! In Chinese tradition, the Ox represents resilience, energy and strengh. The Ox moves steadily but surely – it is reliable and conciencious. This is why the Ox came in second to the Emperor’s party and hence was awarded the second place in the order of Chinese Astrology. The Ox is also pronounced “new” therefore, may this new year give us new opportunities, new options and new strengh to face the challenges that lie ahead. The MyLearningBoutique Team wishes everybody and in particular our clients and partners from China and Asia a great new year of the Ox.
